Baton Rouge Press Club

Created in 1969, the Baton Rouge Press Club promotes the news profession and provides opportunities for members of the press to communicate with each other, their sources and the general public.

Forum for 6th Congressional District candidates at Press Club on Oct. 20

The five candidates for the 6th Congressional District seat who have received at least 10 percent in polling have been invited to speak at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, Oct. 20. They are Dan Claitor, Paul Dietzel, Edwin Edwards, Garret Graves and Lenar Whitney. Press Club meets on Mondays in the Iberville Room at the Belle of Baton Rouge Hotel, which is located at 102 France St. Parking is free in the garage off Mayflower Street. Lunch, which is served at 11:30 a.m., is $12 for members and $15 for nonmembers. The public is invited, but only members of the Press Club and the news media are allowed to ask questions during the question-and-answer portion of the program.

The Press Club meets at noon on Mondays at the Belle of Baton Rouge, Iberville Room.
Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m., the speaker goes on at 12:15 p.m. Lunch is $12 for members and $15 for nonmembers.
