Baton Rouge Press Club

Created in 1969, the Baton Rouge Press Club promotes the news profession and provides opportunities for members of the press to communicate with each other, their sources and the general public.

Greg Albrecht will speak at Press Club on Dec. 15

Greg Albrecht, chief economist with the Legislative Fiscal Office, will be the speaker at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on Monday, Dec. 15. He will discuss state tax credits. Press Club meets on Mondays at the Belle of Baton Rouge Hotel, which is located at 102 France St. Parking is free in the garage off Mayflower Street. Lunch, which is served at 11:30 a.m., is $12 for members and $15 for nonmembers. The public is invited, but only members of the Press Club and the news media are allowed to ask questions during the question-and-answer portion of the program. This is the last meeting of the Press Club in 2014. Monday lunch meetings will resume on Jan. 5, 2015.

The Press Club meets at noon on Mondays at the Belle of Baton Rouge, Iberville Room.
Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m., the speaker goes on at 12:15 p.m. Lunch is $12 for members and $15 for nonmembers.
